GUIDANCE AND COUNSELING WORK PLAN FOR THE YEAR 2011

OBJECTIVES STRATEGY/STRATEGIES ACTIVITIES TIME FRAME PERSON/S RESPONSIBLE
         
To empowererring members in their spiritual, social and personal development thru teamwork and prepare them as counselors.        
Specific Objectives:
At the end of the year, the G&C committee will:
       
1a. Create guidance & counseling philosophy, mission and vision statements. 1a.Formulate philosophy, mission, vision and goals Prayer, Meeting, Brainstorm Jan. 3,2011 G&C chairman, Asst. chairman, G&C members
1b. Establish goals and make action plan based on evaluation results. 1b. Develop an action plan Submit finalized draft to the Tuesday forum for approval Jan. 25,2011 Chairman
1c.Publish in the Midtown informer & website 1c.Coordinate with the Midtown informer editor & Website personnel after approval by the Tues.forum Submit edited manuscripts Jan.26,2011 Chairman
2. Strengthen implementation of policies re absentee, erring, flying, and members to be withdrawn from fellowship for disciplinary action. 2a.Establish meeting Schedules 2. Quarterly meeting Last Sun. of each quarter Chairman, asst. chairman, G&C members , Midtown full time workers and other ministry chairpersons
2b. Review, revise previous policies and make new needed rules & regulations. Assess previous policies Feb15-March 15

3. Identify needs/varied problems of members and tackle them either individually or in groups. (for identified problems)
3. a. Coordinate with various co-chairpersons of other ministries particularly the ministry concerned re problems and schedule a meeting.

3. b. Ask help of other ministry personnel and include those who have knowledge on the background of the problem and person/s closest to the erring member/s (close friends, relatives, immediate family members). Call for emergency Meetings

3e. Seek the help of the immediate family of the erring/problematic member/s. (identify problem, analyze problem, establish goal, generate possible solutions, analyze solutions, take action, referral) after the prayer session ASAP depending on the gravity of the problem
3f. Referral from preachers and immediate family of involved member/s.   (identify problem, analyze problem, establish goal, generate possible solutions, analyze solutions, take action, referral) after the prayer session G & C Ministry and other ministries concerned
4. Maintain/Strengthen the referral system. 4a. Conduct group prayers

4b. Seek the cooperation and participation of the ministry members to list names of erring members for follow-up.

4.c. Coordinate and obtain lists from the edification, visitation ministries,& church secretary
